“The Musicians” series, a group of life sized collages. A national commission in 1976 leads to the “The Musicians Tapestry”, a suite of four works for a 26’ by 19’ “tapestry wall”, Saskatchewan Centre for the Arts, Regina.

1977-87:
“The Book of Esther” series includes ink, pastel drawings, prints, monoprints, and acrylic paintings.

Establishes studio in Iowa City with family.
1980-84:
“The Monument Series”, ink drawings, treating themes of mask and shrine, led to elaborate colored ink paintings, monoprints, and life-size sculptural collages.

1993-96:
“The Black Figure Paintings” and “The Red Figure Paintings” introduce domestic interiors with hieratic figures. Varied surfaces and a broadly pointillistic brush activate the compositions.

Work moves from themes of family groups and children to further experimentation with landscapes.
1996-98:
“The Landscape Paintings” explore light and color, and tactile surfaces of calligraphic paint shape both forms and space.
